Welcome to our ongoing verse by verse Bible study through the “one another” commands found in the New Testament. In this video, we are opening up Galatians chapter 5 to examine a warning from the Apostle Paul: Do Not Bite And Devour One Another.

When we look at the context of Galatians, the believers were facing a major threat from false teachers who were trying to pull them away from salvation by grace alone through faith alone. This theological confusion quickly led to relational division. Paul uses incredibly descriptive language here, comparing the bickering and strife in the local church to wild animals tearing each other apart. He warns that if we keep attacking each other with our words, gossip, and self-righteousness, we will eventually consume and destroy our own fellowship.

As we study Scripture through a Calvary Chapel perspective, we know how vital it is to let the Word of God simply speak for itself. True Christian freedom is not an opportunity to satisfy our own flesh or win arguments. Instead, the Bible calls us to walk by the Holy Spirit and serve one another in love. When we focus our eyes on Jesus Christ and walk in the Spirit, the natural result is the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, and gentleness. But when we operate in our own strength and legalism, we fall right into the trap of biting and devouring those around us.

This message is essential for anyone who wants to study the Bible deeply and understand what it truly means to follow Jesus. Whether you are searching for solid verse by verse Bible teaching, trying to grow in your daily walk with God, or looking for reliable teaching from Calvary Chapel, this study offers a straightforward look at how the gospel changes the way we treat each other.

Join us as we explore Galatians 5:15 and discover how to trade the destructive patterns of the flesh for the unity and peace that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
